Well, school is on Spring Break this week- both the Preschool and my kiddos school. We have already been busy this weekend, starting off by me finishing (and beginning, lol) Easter shopping on Saturday, which was a full day event after adding grocery shopping in also.
We also attended the Randolph Fire Department Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday. It was a lot of fun. We got to take a ride on a fire truck and then the little ones got to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt. The Fire Department does a really nice job of breaking it up by age group.
I tried to plan fun stuff for us to do all this week...highlights include dentist appointments and well checks. Just kidding. Well, kind of. We do have those things, but we are going to be visiting Kraynak's & Daffin's in Sharon, PA sometime this week. If you have never been there, you need to check it out. Kraynak's offers an Easter display walk through every year. They decorate this long hallway of sorts with themed areas of Sesame Street, outdoor animals, Bee movie, Care Bears, etc. It changes every year. Here is a picture from one of last year's displays.
They also do the same thing for Christmas, but with about a hundred Christmas trees all decorated differently. You can visit the Easter Bunny (or Santa) at the end of the display, browse through their greenhouse and at Christmas, buy ornaments.
Daffin's is another great stop if you are over there. You can visit their storefront which housed Chocolate Kingdom. It's a display of everything made from chocolate. You also get a FREE SAMPLE :) Then browse their store and take home some chocolate of your own.
On Saturday, April 7th, the Community Bible Church (where the Preschool is located) is holding their Easter Egg Hunt bright and early. It begins at 9am SHARP and it's over quick. The Easter Bunny will be there too I think.
Have a wonderful Spring Break. I will try to post later this week about what we did in the classroom last week. I left the camera at the preschool with all of the pictures in it, so hopefully I will be able to stop there before break is over so I can update.
Have a great week!
